Reducing employee turnover is not just about retaining staff—it's about transforming your organization's culture, making it a place where loyalty fuels excellence. Additionally, implementing strategic solutions to address retention boosts an organization’s bottom line in terms of productivity, employee morale, and financial sustainability.
Drawing from his extensive experience and popularized concepts like the Stay Interview, renowned author and expert Dick Finnegan will demonstrate how proactive retention tactics can identify and address employees' needs before they consider leaving. Participants will learn how to implement Stay Interviews effectively, uncover critical insights through deep probing, and use these findings to build trust and engagement within their teams.
Finnegan will also discuss his proprietary model, Finnegan’s Arrow, which links turnover and engagement costs directly to business goals, ensuring accountability at every leadership level. Participants will learn the importance of communicating the mega-impact of turnover on their productivity and profits to executive leadership. At the same time, they will leave equipped with strongly-researched and business-driven tools to fix turnover, able to utilize solutions comparable to the ways organizations improve sales and service.
We hope you’ll consider joining us as we explore this vitally important topic in today’s workplace, discussing research-supported tools for retaining staff, understanding and communicating the financial implications of turnover, and ultimately leading to a more engaged workforce and more fiscally sustainable practices within your organization.
Learning objectives:
1. Participants will learn that placing dollar costs on turnover opens executives’ eyes to implementing and supporting retention solutions that begin at the top and include accountability for all leaders, removing unfair accountability for HR.
2. Participants will learn the true power of Stay Interviews such that each leader can develop individualized stay plans for each employee.
3. Participants will leave with the opportunity to develop actual turnover dollar values for each job in their organizations.
This session has been approved for 3 SHRM PDCs and 3 HRCI Business Credits.
